New Blog - Not feeling creative enough to think of a title

This is just a blog to help me record my life as it relates to my son and other fun things. I want to try really hard to post up things that I do with my son. I want to try startin "Tot School" with him as all of a sudden he is picking up so many things that a few months ago he wasn't. He is currently 26 months and I will have to figure out a nickname for him. I think I will use CJ but I am not sure yet.

Today he completely blew me away! He was at his Grammy's where they have a Cars matching game. I thought I was going to buy it for him for christmas/birthday but the age was higher on the box and I have tried simple things like this with him before and I just didn't think he was ready. It took him all of 5 minutes to go through the 15 pairs of Cars........he'd get them all right. We played it differently than a normal matching game. We put all the cards out, face up. We'd pick one up and tell him to find the match and he would. It was so neat to watch him look at the card in his hand and then search through to find it. And some of them really looked alike, but he got them all! I think I may get him this for easter for our house because while he can do it very well, it's a much easier way to play it. We can alway make it harder and improve on it and play it like memory.

He also just learned "turtle" "tiger" and "trouble". He also said "right here" today. For a little guy that was having a hard time "parroting" words and not saying many words, he picked these words up really no problem and seriously surprised people. Hopefully he sticks with it. I already printed out some turtles, now to print out some tigers so that he keeps saying the words and doesn't forget them.

He knows almost all of his body parts and facial features. He knows a ton of animal sounds even if he may not get them right on the first try. He absolutely loves blue's clues and will actually participate in shows on Nick Jr and Disney and get the answers right. He knows some shapes but we need to work on them. He also knows red, blue and yellow and I think green. He is very into "same as".

We need to work on his coloring and fine motor skills I guess you could say. He loves to color and such, but he can't hold a crayon anywhere near right, he tries to color in something but it just doesn't work, and there is no touching writing anything close to a letter or anything recognizable. That's it for now.
